Dear friends and family,

I'm so looking forward to celebrating my 60th birthday with you.  For those travelling from Victoria - this is a gift in itself! If anyone is considering a birthday present, I would be very grateful if you would consider making a tax deductable donation to a cause close to my heart. Jesuit Social Services Western Sydney is an organisation I respect and admire for the amazing work they do to support vulnerable members of our community. They run a community food store called "The Ignite Food Store" in Emerton, Mt Druitt and some of you will know I have been involved in fundraising for their great work on previous occasions. They provide dignity to people who cannot afford to shop at regular supermarkets by providing groceries at about 40% of the regular prices. I can't imagine the stress and pain of not being able to put food on the table for myself or my family. The Ignite Food Store makes the difference for huge numbers of people; some extra funds go a long way to keeping food on the shelves in lean times and the support means the world to the dedicated team at JSS Western Sydney too.
